Today was Brian’s last track meet of his senior year of high school, which made both of us a little sad.
We decided that we needed some happiness to counter-act our blue moods so after the meet was over, we had cheeseburgers and milkshakes for lunch. After we were full & happy, we hit Black Dog Salvage on our way home – and fun memories were made!
I love going to Black Dog Salvage because it’s packed full of really cool vintage stuff that make my eyeballs happy. It’s also loaded with tons of inspiration that makes me want to go home and make something.
Brian was so inspired by the artwork, that on the way home we bought a canvas so he can start painting something for his bedroom.
I was inspired by the painted furniture – who knows, maybe I just might start painting that chest of drawers I bought over a year ago.
Brian and I both decided that walking through Black Dog Salvage is like walking through one of Walter Wick‘s “I Spy” photographs – a visual playground!
Where else but Black Dog Salvage can you relax in a rocking chair made from a car seat or pretend to be Atlas AND a unicorn all in the same day?
Thanks for a wonderful day Brian – it started out a bit stressful and a little sad but it ended up to be one of those perfect days that will be forever stamped in our passport of memories. I had the best day with you today!
